Innovation to extend human capabilities and accomplish the mission
At Dynetics, we combine unmanned technologies with a special focus on autonomous systems, enabling human operators to better accomplish their missions.
Our team brings together the expertise, technology, and processes needed to provide full-spectrum engineering support, high-tech payload integration and testing, real-time data services, and complex flight operations.
Dynetics is also on the forefront of counter-unmanned aircraft system (UAS) security. Our counter-UAS solutions leverage Dynetics' background in sensors, UAS, missiles, electronic warfare, radar, and system integration. We provide innovative defenses against rapidly evolving UAS threats.
Full-Spectrum Engineering Capabilities
Dynetics offers comprehensive solutions for accurate, detailed design; prediction; analysis; and testing of unmanned systems.
Aerodynamic Design and Analysis
Our aerospace engineers blend best-in-class computational approaches with empirical results obtained through wind tunnel and flight testing.
Modeling and Simulation
Physics-based modeling and simulation is a core competency at Dynetics and a key component of our systems engineering and development practices.
From desktop analysis tools to real-time embedded software, we build software solutions that meet the needs of vastly different programs.
"Autonomy" is a major focus for unmanned systems. We unlock the potential of these capabilities by mixing a wide range of mathematical techniques, grounded in real-world assessments obtained through realistic testing.
Our in-house machining and electrical shops can rapidly create components, enabling quick-turn design iterations that our technical staff use to explore the boundaries of achievable performance.
Advanced Systems Integration and Test
While Dynetics is known for technology development, we often serve as system integrators for other manufacturers. We use our analytical capabilities, manufacturing facilities, and real-world experience to accelerate technology insertion programs for unmanned systems.
We have performed more than 30 technology insertion programs for DoD programs of record, including engineering, manufacturing, airworthiness substantiation, flight test planning, instrumentation, data collection, and performance analysis.
Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC)
We provide GNC solutions through a combination of in-house expertise, subcontractor partnerships, and commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) component integration. The resulting designs are cost-effective combinations of flight computers, sensors, and actuators.
Our expertise in sensor technologies spans radar, electro-optical (EO), infrared (IR), lidar, acoustic, and other modalities.
Our customers do not typically want data—they want answers backed by data. We manage, integrate, calculate, and reduce large volumes of data into meaningful metrics for decision makers.
We provide mission-critical test site support for data collection and objective real-time data analysis. For example, our Telemetry and Instrumentation Ground Receiver Station (TIGRS) provides total system support at test ranges around the country, including state-of the-art telemetry receivers, test equipment, and real-time analysis tools. A viewing area allows our customers to observe live tests and test results.
Our UAS and aviation experts provide comprehensive flight services for public use and commercial aircraft. We handle the complexities of flight operations, planning, approvals, safety, and airspace regulations. Our disciplined, documented processes can mitigate significant risks to aviation operations.
Flight Test Operations and Support
We offer Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 107 flight operations, and we regularly plan and lead larger scale flight testing even when it is performed by third parties. We deliver highly complex flight support through a mix of in house expertise and thoughtful contracting with trusted partners.
Training and Logistics
Many of our system operators possess extensive military experience in using unmanned systems to perform tactical missions. These individuals are well suited for disciplined training in basic operations, emergency procedures, and advanced mission functions. On the logistics side, we offer life-cycle analyses, support concepts, and design for efficient integration with existing infrastructure.
