Shane Hammett and Greg Jackson of Dynetics will present a DFARS (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement) Lunch & Learn on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2015, at the Dynetics Solutions Complex from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. The seminar will teach attendees how to help their companies overcome DFARS hurdles. The DFARS contains requirements of law, Department of Defense policies, and the delegation of FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) authorities that have a significant effect on industry.
Hammett and Jackson will address the importance of DFARS, proven processes for DFARS compliance, approaches to writing DFARS policies and procedures, DFARS compliance impacts on network security and cost-effective methods for enhancing cybersecurity. Jackson will also provide template documents to help companies get started with their plan.
Hammett is a senior cybersecurity risk consultant at Dynetics, with previous experience at the Department of Homeland Security, Southern Shield and the State of Alabama. Jackson is a senior cybersecurity analyst with CISSP and CISO certifications and 30 years in cybersecurity, intelligence and communications.
