Dynetics will demonstrate GroundAware surveillance radar to critical infrastructure owners and operators gathered in Las Vegas April 2-4 for ISC West 2014, the International Security Conference & Exhibition. GroundAware is a perimeter security system designed to immediately alert stakeholders of intruders breaching perimeters and encroaching on off-limits areas of their facilities. The company's exhibit showcasing GroundAware will be in Booth #25142.
Perimeter and restricted-area breaches by humans, animals and vehicles at airports, bridges, nuclear power plants, railways, water systems and other critical infrastructure facilities are growing threats to safety and security.
GroundAware is an all-digital, web-based, ground-based radar that detects such intrusions in real time and then automatically provides actionable information, mobile alerts and integrated live video to owner/operators - all via a single interface. GroundAware provides a low false-alarm rate, easy integration with other security systems and unique tracking and classification capabilities.
"With this 'rich situational awareness' security, stakeholders have the real-time information needed to instantaneously respond to threats as they happen," said Greg Lester, Dynetics executive vice president.
Lester said the radar, which is software-defined, web-based and built with off-the-shelf components, is easy to configure, deploy, use and afford. "Plus, GroundAware is developed and supported by Dynetics, a company with 40 years of radar technology expertise," he said.
The company will highlight the following GroundAware benefits at the security conference:
- State-of-the-art processing, which minimizes false alarms
- All-weather dependability, night- and daytime detection
- No moving parts, assuring high reliability
- Flexibility for easy customization onsite or remotely
- Built-in interoperability with video, mobile devices and other assets
- No software to install or maintain, uses intuitive web-based browser interface
- Configuration, installation and use supported by radar experts
