Charles Broome, vice president of accounting and controller at Dynetics, is responsible for all transactional and technical accounting activities in accordance with company policies, procedures and processes. This includes the preparation of the financial statements and any related forecasts and key metrics tracking associated with the related transactions.
Broome has over 35 years of experience in the aerospace and defense industry in accounting, finance, contracting and subcontracting. Prior to joining Dynetics in 2021, he served Airbus Defense and Space, Inc. (ADSI) in many different capacities, including acting president, chairman of the board, Lakota Program manager and head of Finance. In his last role with ADSI, he established long range goals, strategies, plans and policies, lead the sales and management of all Airbus Defense and Space products and services in the U.S.
He began his career in accounting at The Boeing Company, holding various senior level positions in diverse corporate settings, highlighted by major achievements in business process reengineering, financial management and program management. Following that, he was named senior managing consultant with Beason & Nalley where he provided government contract consulting services to government contractor clients in a variety of capacities. In 2007, Broome joined L3 Communications as their director of Finance, where he was responsible for all financial, contracting, subcontracting and accounting activities in support of several joint ventures.
He earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Central of Florida and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the state of Florida.
