Lean Six Sigma (LSS)

Every leader is responsible for some process (Process Owner) that produces a product or service for a consumer, either internal or external. Every individual participates in some way in a process or sub-process by providing inputs that contribute to the outputs. Every leader should know their customer requirements for products and services they provide and understand the process that produces these products and services. With regard to their respective process, everyone should ask, "Is our process effective?" "Is our process efficient?" "How do we know?" "How are we doing?" "Can we get better?"

Effective leaders continuously seek ways to improve their processes and operations – that is the essence of continuous process improvement. One way to facilitate these improvements is through lean six sigma (LSS), a disciplined approach used to examine, assess, and improve the performance of any process, whether a manufacturing line, supply chain, or administrative function.
