Northern Alabama companies mark the completion of NASA’s Space Launch System’s Core Stage pathfinder vehicle

Three northern Alabama companies, Dynetics, Inc., Radiance Technologies, and G&G Steel, are pleased to invite all media to mark the completion of NASA’s Space Launch System Core Stage Pathfinder Vehicle on Thursday, August 31, 2017. The pathfinder vehicle will be used to demonstrate core stage operations and transportation, including routes for testing, assembly and to the launch site. The steel mockup is 212 feet and 228,000 pounds with a diameter of 27.6 feet. NASA will accept the hardware after it is delivered by barge to the NASA Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Where: 6275 Horse Creek Boulevard Cordova, Alabama

Additional Notes:

Everyone MUST wear closed-toe shoes to enter the facility. U.S. Congressman Robert Aderholt and Cordova Mayor Drew Gilbert will say remarks.
